How to Catch Sea Leviathan in Fisch

Author: Unknown Author Update Time: 2025-04-01

Sea Leviathan is the biggest, and the most exciting fish added to Fisch as part of the Cursed or Second Sea update. While many know that the fish is available in the sea, they don't know how or where to catch it. If you are one such player, don't worry, as I will help you reel in your Sea Leviathan in Fisch.

Where can you find the Sea Leviathan in Fisch?

Firstly, you have to understand that the Sea Leviathan is not available in all instances and can only be caught during the Sea Leviathan Event. Unlike other game events like Orcas or Whale Migration, you will not receive a server-wide notification saying that the Sea Leviathan has spawned; instead, it is entirely random, and you have to locate the Sea Leviathan on your own through exploration.

So, what does the Sea Leviathan look like? If a Sea Leviathan has spawned on your server, you will find a large red and white snake-like creature floating around the open areas of the Ocean. From my observation, they usually spawn around the coast of Waveborne and the open areas between Emberreach + Pine Shoals. You can see the above image for a pictorial reference.

Once you have identified a Sea Leviathan, you can use the Fish Radar to mark the fishing perimeter around the fish. Now, all that's left is to use your rods and catch the creature. I have mentioned the preferred bait and other requirements to catch the fish.

  • Bait: Luminous Larva (standard)
  • Weather: Foggy
  • Season: Spring
  • Time: Anytime (Preferred Night)

For the Rod, anything like the Great Dreamer, Free Spirit, or Verdant Sheer would do the trick, as these are some of the best rods available to use in the Second Sea. Also, while fishing, ensure to stay inside the perimeter by moving your boat, as the Sea Leviathan changes its trajectory pretty often.

With time and effort, you will catch the Sea Leviathan in Fisch. Remember, there is only one Sea Leviathan per event, and if you have missed out on reeling it, you have to wait till the next one.
